4 Easy Gluten-Free and Vegan Desserts

Too often I find myself lounging on the couch (or in my bed, or in my car) craving a warm, chewy cookie or a fudgy, rich brownie. I paint the picture perfectly, imagining myself biting into a decadent dessert (or two, or three) as I’m waiting in line at the grocery store and the cashier is asking me if I’m paying with debit or credit.

This happens to me A LOT, so I know the struggle of having a sweet tooth and not knowing exactly how to satisfy it. Luckily, I have a few go-to vegan and gluten-free recipes that never fail to satisfy my sweet tooth, and they’re also super duper easy to make too. I know you are going to love these treats just as much as I do! Even your non-gluten-free and vegan friends will enjoy them, I promise :)

  1. Murder Cookies

Alright, first up are these super chewy and soft cookies affectionately named Murder Cookies. Don’t let the name scare you, the only danger here is that you may want to eat the whole batch. But hey! I don’t judge. You’ll want to read that blog post to learn why they get their creepy-yummy name. These vegan and gluten-free cookies have a nice spice to them thanks to the cinnamon and nutmeg that you add in. Definitely worth getting into the kitchen for!

2. Vegan Brownie Cookies

So you’re craving a cookie and a brownie? I got you! These chocolatey delights melt in your mouth and help you escape any problem you may be dealing with in life. Yep, that good. Don’t forget to sprinkle a dash of sea salt on these vegan brownie cookies for that perfect balance of salty/sweet (because as good as chocolate is, sometimes it can overwhelm the tastebuds). A little savory on the sweet will tip these beyond perfection.

3. Vegan Blueberry Cobbler

This dessert is perfect for summer, or if you’re simply craving a summer getaway! The tart berries in this buttery blueberry cobbler are a match made in heaven. Not to mention, it’s so easy and quick to make, and vegan too. You’ll be enjoying this simple vegan treat in no time. For a little extra yum, scoop up your favorite vegan ice cream to go with it.

4. Healthy Cranberry Bliss Bars

If you’re a fan of the Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bars, you’ll be over the moon about this recipe. It’s basically the same thing… but freshly made by you! There are three main components to these bars: the cookie dough bottom, the vanilla protein whipped cream frosting, and the cranberries. Gluten-free and vegan, you won’t have to feel bad about indulging in this treat!
