When I tell you this is the best granola recipe you’ll ever try, I mean it! I consider myself to be a bit of a granola connoisseur. I love granola as much as the next person, and I went on a bit of a mission to find the best store bought granola around.
However, store bought granola is typically loaded with unnecessary sugars, so I prefer to make my own granola at home. Trust me when I say this recipe is just perfect. You’ll never need another homemade granola recipe again!
This homemade granola recipe is vegan and can also be made gluten-free if you use gluten-free oats. I have a few gluten-free oat brands listed below.
I added chopped almonds to my granola, but you can go with any nut you prefer (or leave out the nuts entirely, it’s up to you)!
Serve this vegan granola with yogurt, or in a bowl of milk. Or, simply eat it on its own, it’s really that good!
Is granola healthy?
Hmm… I don’t typically like to categorize food as healthy or unhealthy. I think eating a balanced diet is much more important than scrutinizing individual foods or food groups.
This granola is completely homemade, which means you’ll know exactly what’s in it when you eat it! There are no preservatives or weird chemicals in this vegan granola recipe, so you can feel good while you eat it.
Is granola gluten free?
Whether or not this granola is gluten free depends on the types of oats that you use. Oats are by themselves gluten free, HOWEVER due to the manufacturing process oats are frequently exposed to wheat. So, unless the oats you are using explicitly state they are gluten free, assume that they are not gluten free.
